The Acting His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mousawi met the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, Dr. Abdelmajid Ben Amara, His Excellency reviewed prospects for scientific and research cooperation between academic institutions and scientific research councils across Arab nations.

Dr. Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mousawi emphasized Iraq’s commitment as the host country for the Federation’s headquarters to consolidate Arab scientific cooperation and expand partnership opportunities and the exchange of expertise among universities and research centers. 

His Excellency noted that such efforts serve scientific development pathways and strengthen integration among Arab research institutions.

Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mousawi highlighted the significance of the occasion, which coincides with the Federation’s 50th anniversary, affirming that Iraq’s continued hosting of the headquarters reflects its active presence and role in supporting joint Arab scientific endeavors.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Federation expressed the organization's keenness on fostering cooperation among Arab research institutions and councils, facilitating the exchange of expertise, and organizing scientific conferences and events that support the advancement of scientific research.
