The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research concluded its specialized workshop program for developing the Bologna Process.

Higher Education highlighted that the program included delivering a specialized lecture entitled (From the Bologna Process to Institutional Implementation) presented by international expert Professor Dr. Burak Arikan who addressed the main pillars of the Bologna Process, international experiences in its application, and mechanisms for utilizing these principles in developing academic policies and institutions in line with global best practices.

The Ministry demonstrated that the program concluded with a dialogue session that discussed mechanisms for developing the implementation of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities, as well as reviewing several visions and proposals aimed at standardizing implementation procedures and enhancing the quality of academic performance according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives for developing the university education system.

The Deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd affirmed the Ministry's commitment to implement its vision for developing the higher education system according to internationally recognized academic frameworks. 

Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd reviewed that the Bologna Process represents a cornerstone for modernizing academic programs, enhancing the efficiency of educational outcomes, and developing the university environment in line with scientific advancements and development requirements.

For his part, the President of Imam Al-Sadiq University, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Khalil Ibrahim, indicated that hosting the program's closing ceremony reflects the university's keenness on keeping pace with the Ministry's directions in developing academic performance, consolidating institutional practices, and expanding areas of scientific cooperation to meet the demands of the next phase.

It is significant to mention that the workshop was attended by the university presidents, assistants for scientific affairs, a number of faculty members and attended by an international expert in higher education policy development and the Bologna Process, Prof. Dr. Burak Arikan, as well as it was held at Imam Al-Sadiq University .
