During chairing a meeting of the Advisory Board, the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi said that the Advisory Board emphasized the necessity for Iraqi students studying abroad in neighboring countries to complete their remaining residency permits according to applicable legal frameworks, ensuring the smooth flow of procedures.

The Advisory Board directed the Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations to continuously monitor this issue, coordinate on any developments, and take the necessary measures according to applicable regulations and instructions.

The members of the Advisory Board highlighted the items on its agenda, including authorizing deans of colleges and institutes to form investigative committees and address the cases of medical students regarding equivalency exams and parallel equivalency programs.

The Advisory Board stressed the importance of enhancing academic rigor and performance efficiency, and ensuring the quality of graduates in both public and private universities.

It is significant to mention that the meeting was attended by Head of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Dr. Adel Al-Rikabi, committee member Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi and senior staff and presidents of public universities.
