The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that Prime Minister sponsored the National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championship (NURAI 2026), this reflects the government's commitment to support scientific and technological initiatives and foster an environment of innovation within higher education institutions.

Higher Education emphasized that this sponsorship stems from the importance of the championship as a national project aimed at developing creativity and innovation among students, establishing a culture of scientific research and academic competition, and enhancing the role of Iraqi universities in preparing a generation equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence applications, keeping pace with global scientific and technological advancements.
