Higher Education: Baghdad University Leads Iraqi Universities in QS World University Rankings 2027

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the QS World University Rankings 2027 has released its results for  2027, in which 1,500 universities from more than 100 countries competed.


The Director of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus, Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh reviewed that the official ranking website showed Iraqi universities achieving competitive scores, the University of Baghdad ranked between 801 and 850, followed by Al-Nahrain University and Mustansiriyah University (1001-1200), the University of Anbar and the University of Erbil (1201-1400), and the Universities of Karbala and Kufa (1401+).


This year's QS rankings evaluated universities based on key criteria: research (50%), employability (20%), teaching experience (10%), international collaborations (15%), and sustainability (5%).
