During a meeting chaired by Director of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Apparatus and Head of the Ministerial Team, Dr. Salah Hadi Salih said that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research convened a meeting of the Ministerial team tasked with implementing the National Strategy for Education and Social Upbringing (2026–2031).

Higher Education highlighted that the meeting demonstrated that the strategy's implementation pillars and mechanisms for translating its objectives into programs and initiatives, these initiatives aim at fostering societal values among the younger generation, instill a spirit of patriotism, reviving Iraqi, Arab, and Islamic culture, and embedding a culture of tolerance and respect for religious and sectarian diversity, besides the meeting addressed preserving and promoting the Arabic language and activating the role of media in reinforcing societal values.

The Head of the Team emphasized that societal values are fundamentally rooted in Iraqi national identity, as well as reviewing the strategy seeks to instill national and ethical values in the younger generation through education, media, and comprehensive social and cultural programs, thereby fostering a societal consciousness based on citizenship, tolerance, and respect for diversity.

Dr. Salah Hadi Salih added that the meeting also explored mechanisms for partnership and institutional coordination among relevant entities, the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation system, and the definition of clear performance indicators to measure program implementation and impact, ensuring the strategy's objectives are met within the 2026–2031 timeframe.

For their part, the Ministerial team comprises representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Education are working to coordinate efforts and integrate roles in implementing the pillars of the National Strategy for Education and Social Upbringing (2026–2031).
