During this strategic meeting, His Excellency, the Jordanian Minister of Education and Human Resource Development, Prof. Dr. Azmi Mahmoud Mufleh Al-Muhafaza met a high-level academic delegation led by Prof. Dr. Waddah Amer Al-Tamimi, President of the Middle Technical University.

The two sides focused on ways to enhance integrated cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development and the technical universities, shared visions for developing the technical and vocational education sector in alignment with future labor market demands and national human resource development strategies.

Both sides reviewed linking educational pathways to human development and establishing joint mechanisms aimed at aligning technical education outcomes with the needs of development sectors, as well as equipping technical and engineering personnel with modern skills and technologies.

The sides highlighted the pivotal role of the Women's Affairs Department in supporting and fostering initiatives designed to empower female staff, academic leaders, and students in engineering and applied disciplines.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining direct coordination and establishing joint task forces to follow up on the implementation of proposed understandings and initiatives, aiming to transform them into tangible action programs that support sustainable development and human capital development in the country.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Hazim Baqir, Director General of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations highlighted expanding academic and scientific partnerships through his department and the International Organizations Department, these efforts aim to create opportunities for specialized training, scholarship programs, and the modernization of curricula and educational programs in collaboration with leading international institutions.

It is worth to be mentioning that the meeting was attended by the Ministry officials, including the Director General of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Directorate, the Head of the International Organizations Department (along with his deputy), and the Director of the Ministry’s Women's Affairs Department, as well as this visit was part of a study tour organized by the (Tawasul) project, which is funded by the Canadian government and presidents of the Northern, Middle Euphrates, and Southern technical universities.
