Higher Education Reviews Education Policy Development within National Strategy with International Partners

During a periodic meeting of the Education Sector Coordination Group at Al-Farahidi University and in collaboration with its international partners the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed the development of education policies and strategic programs, as well as monitoring of outcomes from the National Education Strategy (2022–2031).

Higher Education highlighted that the meeting addressed regulatory frameworks, public policies, and strategic programs related to the education sector, as well as focusing on analyzing the outcomes of the National Education Strategy, mechanisms for its development, and enhancing coordination among national institutions, international organizations, and international partners in alignment with the priorities of the upcoming phase.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research represented by the Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs holds the chairmanship of the Education Sector Coordination Group for a two-year term, aiming a fostering cooperation and coordination between national entities and international partners while advancing educational policies and programs.

It is worth to be mentio9ningh that the meeting was chaired by the Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abed Dhahad, and co-chaired by a representative of the European Union Delegation, Participants included representatives from UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Bank, the British Council, and various international organizations and institutions active in the education sector, alongside representatives from the Ministries of Planning, Education, and Labor and Social Affairs, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the Advisory Commission.
