The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the participation of 42,179 applicants in the competitive entrance exam for postgraduate programs (Higher Diploma, Master's, and Doctorate) at all Iraqi public universities.

Higher Education reviewed that the number of postgraduate programs open for application is 2,604, encompassing doctoral, master's, and higher diploma programs across scientific and humanities disciplines.

The Ministry also reviewed that the admission plan for the 2026/2027 academic year includes 33,073 seats distributed across various admission channels.

Higher Education demonstrated that the results of the competitive entrance exam will be announced on July 5th and 6th, while preliminary acceptances will be published on July 12th, 2026, on the official websites of the colleges and universities, in preparation for the commencement of studies for accepted students on September 1st.
