A high diploma’s research in the College of Management and Economics, University of Al-Mustansiriyah on integration between the work of the audit committees and the internal audit departments and the impact on the effectiveness of economic unity. The research reviewed the impact of audit departments and committees in enhancing the internal audit function, especially as these committees are one of the main mechanisms of governance and the most important means of monitoring. The research highlighted the complementarities between the audit committees and the internal audit in the various financial institutions as well as reviewing the institution or the bank in light of achieving the goals by implementing the integration in its correct form.
