Al-Mustansiriyah University: On Xanthium Plants & Breast Cancer A joint research team in the College of Pharmacy and Iraqi Center for Genetics and Cancer Research, University of Al-Mustansiriyah conducted a study on the toxicity of Xanthium plants against cells of breast cancer. The study reviewed extracting the dried Xanthium plants leaves to be crushed with chloroform in order to test the toxicity of the extract within the compound of doxorubicin to fight the cancer cells.
