His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail congratulated the great Iraqi people on the occasion of designating the ancient city of Babylon within the World Heritage Sites. Dr. Al-Suhail said that the designating of the ancient city of Babylon will contribute in drawing the world's attention to the great monuments that indicate the depth of our Iraqi civilization and the legacy of the Iraqi great heritage. His Excellency expressed his hope that this step will draw more attention to this achievement and the need to expedite the fulfillment of the requirements of the World Commission. Dr. Al-Suhail reviewed that the designating of Babylon Ancient City in the UN’s regulation list will lead to include more ancient cities and archaeological and cultural monuments of Iraq in the international list.
