During chairing 4th meeting of the Advisory Board Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hallo Al Askari emphasized the importance of quality and its direct impact on developing educational outcomes, keeping pace with global standards, enhancing academic reputation, producing scientific research, ensuring its presence in international databases and repositories, embodying good governance, improving institutional performance, and responding to the demands of modern education.





Dr. Hallo Al Askari said that the Advisory Board voted on the items listed in the agenda:
▪️Completion of the scientific and logistical procedures related to the Ministerial assessment exam between public and private universities in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, health and medical technologies, engineering and engineering technologies, law, administrative and economic sciences, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity for the 2025/2026 academic year.
▪️Approval of a new mechanism for evaluating faculty members seconded to other Ministries, effective from the 2026/2027 academic year.
▪️Respect for the legal powers granted to universities in Iraqi provinces to decide on suspending classes.





His Excellency concluded the meeting by recommending that universities and their councils enhance community service through research programs and projects that align with the Sustainable Development Goals.








It is significant to mention that the meeting was attended by its senior members and the presidents of public universities.
