Department of Environment and Water of the Ministry of Science and Technology organized a lecture on the preparation and diagnosis of the nanoscale zero-valent iron to treat water pollution with organic compounds.
The lecture reviewed using several methods to address pollutants spreading such as aggregation, sedimentation, chemical oxidation and adsorption, which are the best methods used due to their low economic cost in treating water pollution.
The lecture also reviewed preparing of nanoscale zero-valent iron via using activated sludge and carbon coating materials to increase the efficiency of absorption process and the diagnosis of these nanoparticles via modern diagnostic methods to verify their preparation and absorption process to remove water pollution via organic compounds such as "Ethylene blue" 6,4, 2 - phenol triphloride 6,4,2 and chloroform.
