During a meeting with the American Cultural Affairs Officer to Iraq, Mr. Aaron Snipe, Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Fouad Qassim Mohammed reviewed developing the academic cooperation. Dr. Mohammed said that Iraq is keen on strengthening relations with the developed countries, especially in the fields of higher education and promoting the Iraqi universities to make them equal to their counterparts in the advanced international countries. Dr. Mohammed added that the Ministry is working in light of the plan of developing English Language Centers at the universities and educational and research institutions, Dr. Mohammed also reviewed the Ministry's keenness on obtaining the international ranking for Iraqi universities. For his part, Mr. Snipe expressed his country's readiness on cooperating academically and exchanging experiences to serve the education sector for both sides.
