A research team in the College of Engineering, University of Karbala obtained a patent on developing a cooling system for gas power stations via using nanotechnology to increase production of electricity, reduce its costs and preserve the environment.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, aimed at improving the thermal cooling system via using Nano-materials and paint to reduce the heat of the air that contributes in cooling the station to increase the produced power.
