College of Medicine, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a symposium on implantation surgery of electronic cochlea in the ear.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers, faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed cochlear implantation as a surgical procedure in which an electronic device to be implanted inside the inner ear as well as the device is divided into two parts; the internal part is called the cochlea and the external part is called the programmer or the speech processor.
