College of Engineering, University of Diyala held a symposium on the management of water resources in the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, aimed at addressing the current and future problems of water resources in Iraq, reviewing the facilities and dams in Iraq, the capacity of the reservoir and the impact of the availability of water resources on the development projects in Iraq.
The symposium recommended reviewing the distribution of projects and dams, especially in the south of Iraq, methods of addressing the obstacles facing water resources and vital development projects, especially those related to the generation of electricity.
