During a meeting, acting His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Helo Al-Askari confirmed that ensuring the quality of the educational process and developing institutional performance represent the basis for the work of Iraqi universities.

Dr. Al-Askari directed his sovereignty to consolidate and improve the quality system and update procedures related to academic achievement, examinations and tests related to the integrity of academic performance and embodying the scientific standing of Iraqi university institutions, taking into account the completion of the requirements of the second semester in universities, their colleges, departments and branches according to the approved organizational contexts.

His Excellency reviewed the proposals of the university presidents regarding developing the scientific and administrative skills and capabilities of teaching and professional staff,as well as stressing that preserving their rights and entitlements and building capabilities represents a fundamental pillar in the path of sustainable institutional development. 

Dr. Al-Askari called on the agency to confront challenges with a spirit of initiative and responsibility, openness to productive partnerships with the private sector, meet the requirements of the labor market, align education outcomes with its development needs and variables, adopt a sustainability approach, expand the use of clean energy, and consolidate green economy indicators on university campuses.
