University of Karbala inaugurated nursing skills labs in the College of Nursing to keep pace with the scientific progress in training programs and implementing modern education technology, President of the University, Dr. Moneer Hameed Al-Saadi said.
Dr. Al-Saadi added that the laboratories were equipped with modern medical beds, early medical detection devices, models of various organs of the body and simulation dolls that enable students to test the procedures of nursing close to the reality.
For his part, Dean of the College, Dr. Ali Jobouri said that the nursing skills laboratories are to train students during the first and second stages of all basic nursing procedures, gaining nursing skills, how to measure vital signs and documenting them in patient's record.
