College of Science, University of Mustansiriyah discussed a Ph.D. thesis on evaluating of the efficiency of neurotransmitters and antioxidant nano-particles in the sera of patients addicted to methamphetamine by the postgraduate student, Mr. Mustafa Hadiri Abbas.
The thesis aimed at detecting the efficiency of the neurotransmitter by measuring dopamine, Na+, K+, Cl- ions, MAO enzymes, AchE and oxidative stress.
The thesis reviewed using of clinical measurement indicators and investigation of the effectiveness of antioxidant vitamins (A, E, C) and the serum of methamphetamine addicts.
The thesis highlighted that there is an increase in the levels of oxidative stress and dopamine in patients addicted to methamphetamine and that there is an effective role for appropriate nutrition and nano-antioxidant vitamin supplements in treating methamphetamine addicts.
