University of Mustansiriyah discussed a P.h D. thesis on finding a quantitative model using the ion confinement technique through physical verification and using it in quantitative calculations by the postgraduate student, Mr. Bassem Raheem Kadhim.
The thesis aimed at preparing a quantum model via using ion confinement technology and a linear Balwick trap and create a technical qubit to benefit from it in quantum computing.
The thesis demonstrated creating a MATLAB program to create a linear Balwick trap by performing a simulation of quantum gates that operate as a single qubit with a CONT gate simulation.
The thesis concluded that controlling and restricting the ions in the stability zone of the linear Baoli trap constitutes a linear chain of ions that requires an appropriate continuous voltage and that increasing the confined distance between the center of the trap and the end of the electrodes helps to increase the number of trapped ions.
