College of Nursing, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a course on biostatistics and its applications. The course reviewed the concept of statistics, the main types of statistics and the applications of descriptive and inferential statistics in nursing researches. The course demonstrated the importance of the concept of statistics, which is attributed to the implementation of statistical methods to know and analyze human phenomena, analyze study data, and reach conclusions in light of the hypothesis. The course recommended that the statistical aspect should have an effective role, especially in nursing researches and engaging the faculty members with the specialization in statistics in the process of supervising the students' researches.
