College of Engineering Technology, Northern Technical University discussed a master dissertation on distinguishing glucose levels via using skin imaging by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Dalal Ziad Nafi.
The dissertation highlighted a method for determining blood sugar levels based on imaging the skin with a webcam linked to a microcomputer.
The dissertation aimed at designing a system that contains a webcam linked to a mini-computer, the Jetson Nano and controlled via a program for the purpose of determining blood sugar levels based on imaging of the fingertips.
The dissertation recommended conducting more in-depth examinations in the field of skin imaging to obtain more accurate results for blood sugar levels.
