College of Engineering, University of Wasit discussed a master's dissertation on a low-complexity multi-antenna communication system with a smart radio environment by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Nour Qasim Muhammad.
The dissertation aimed at jointly designing the beam wavelength and improving performance at both the access point as well as the smart surface and developing a repetition strategy called MMSE-MP.
The dissertation highlighted that there is approximately 66.5% spectral improvement when compared to the classical network that does not use IRS for a specific scenario for transmission power.
