A faculty member in the College of Law, University of Babylon published a book entitled (Summary of Criminology and Punishment).
The book reviewed the basics of criminology, its methods of scientific research, the theories of criminology and studying the biological explanation of the crime as well as the reviewing the social explanation of the crime.
The book also reviewed studying the internal and external factors affecting criminal behavior, basics of punishment and its emergence and its relation to other sciences as well as reviewing work development of the penal institutions, types of institutions, precautionary procedures, introductory systems for punitive process and out-of-institution process systems.
