During an inaugural tour, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa inaugurated the new building of the College of Environmental Sciences in Al-Qasim Green University.

Dr. Al-Esa confirmed on the importance of enhancing the potentials of Al-Qasim Green University via transferring it into a productive university to meet the needs of the geographical area of it and His Excellency reviewed the importance of adopting a new approach in implementing unconventional research to develop the agriculture.

His Excellency continued by saying that the Ministry is keen on setting the necessary plans to support the new universities and develop their academic and human resources in order to be  recognized international universities.

Dr. Al-Esa added that the Al-Qasim Green University should be a center of community attraction which reflects the heritage and civilization of the Al-Qasim City in the Province of Babylon.

In accompanying of the President of the University, Dr. Hassan Kataa Al-Awadi, His Excellency toured the classrooms and scientific laboratories and Dr. Al-Esa praised the great development of the university in both urban and academic levels.
