Two faculty members in the College of Physical Education and Sports Science, University of Kufa obtained a patent on designing a device for measuring kinetic performance and speed of the boxers.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included manufacturing a device to measure physical ability of the boxer via evaluating muscular contraction of the athlete according to the physical ability.
The patent reviewed that the device is based on measuring the kinetic duration and the speed of the arms during a certain time and raising duration level and measuring the highest limit of muscular endurance as well as measuring time will be stopped automatically when punches stop.
