Directorate of Training, Ministry of Science and Technology organized a symposium on environmental pollution by radioactive elements.
The symposium, in which a number of specialists participated, reviewed types of radioactive pollution such as water, soil and air pollution, methods of detection, health hazards of ionizing radiation, diseases after a nuclear accident such as thyroid cancer and avoiding methods of radiation.
It is worth mentioning that the symposium included classifying radioactive elements into three groups.
