College of Materials Engineering, University of Babylon conducted a study on implementing laser welding of a nickel-titanium alloy with stainless steel (304L).

The study reviewed that using several samples to conduct welding process involves changing the welding factors such as maximum laser ability, pulse duration, pulse rate and welding speed in each sample to obtain best results with the properties that were concluded by several tests, such as tensile test, microscopic hardness, X-ray and microscopic structure.

The study also reviewed that the NiTi alloy is an important element that has a stable structure, high flexibility and high compatibility.
