College of Medicine, University of Karbala held the 2nd international conference on the latest developments in medical research, President of the University, Dr. Monir Hameed Al-Saadi said.
Dr. Al-Saadi added that the conference, in which more than 200 researchers participated, aimed at establishing basics of modern medical education, exchanging scientific ideas, benefiting from modern theories, international experiences in medical education and keeping pace with international scientific developments to improve health services.
Dr. Al-Saadi stressed on the need to strengthen scientific research, provide high-quality health services, support efforts to enhance scientific communication and intellectual interaction between inside and outside doctors and transfer contemporary researches and developments in medical sciences to doctors in Iraq.
For his part, dean of the college, Dr. Riydh Al-Zobaidi said that the conference reviewed implementing nanotechnology and modern techniques in the field of medicine, epidemiology and diseases, surgical and medical specialties and modern basics in treating patients as well as medical physics, anatomy, tissue, general surgery, Embryos and organ functions.
It is worth mentioning that the conference recommended opening on the international universities and research centers besides involving them in the medical conferences.
