His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani reviewed the necessity of fulfilling all requirements to make Basra University Hospital operational. 

Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani stressed the importance of creating an appropriate environment for the hospital to begin providing services, thereby enabling the utilization of its medical and scientific capabilities to support medical education and enhance specialized healthcare services.

Accompanied by the President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, His Excellency toured the current state of Basrah University Hospital, evaluated its medical and scientific potential, and reviewed the requirements for its further development all with the aim of strengthening its role in supporting medical education and advancing specialized health services.

Prof. Dr. Haider Bahaa Al-Hasani highlighted the importance of leveraging and developing existing resources to improve the training environment for students in medical-related faculties. 

His Excellency also emphasized the need to support postgraduate studies and scientific research, while expanding opportunities for clinical training and practical application, in line with modern scientific and medical advancements.
