Unit of Student Activities in the College of Media, Al-Iraqia University delivered an online lecture on children's rights in Iraq and the role of social activists in promoting them via Zoom cloud Meeting Platform by Mr. Hisham Al-Thahabi. The online lecture aimed at supporting the role of the media to educate society, decision-makers, families and those interested in the rights of children in Iraq in order to provide a suitable environment for them so that every child can grow, develop and enjoy a decent and safe life. The online lecture reviewed the general principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, how to use it in applying the child rights-based programming approach in practical and interactive ways and linking the needs of children with the concept of rights in terms of their right to education, health, social and cultural rights. The online lecture recommended inviting those interested and activists in human rights to hold symposiums, lectures and awareness and educational workshops on children's rights, in a way that contributes in spreading awareness among families, official and civil institutions on how to deal with children and communicate with them.
