College of Basic Education, University of Babylon held an online symposium on using modern GIS and RS technologies in geomorphological studies by the faculty member, Dr. Amir Hadi Jadoua. The online symposium reviewed method of using modern technologies in geomorphological studies in terms of reaching remote areas, difficulty of reaching them, discovering geomorphological features, conducting morphometric measurements of them, their geographical distribution and drawing modern shapes and maps for them. The online symposium demonstrated directed and non-directed classification in order to help researchers to know the geomorphological changes of the terrestrial shapes for different periods, as well as studying the geomphological shapes with precision and knowing their negative effects or the speed of their creep or restriction.
