During a meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Baghdad, Mr. Viktor Yurievich Nidobas, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed developing ways of scientific and academic understanding between the two countries. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib also reviewed the Ministry’s keenness on the procedures for equivalence of certificates to enhance indicators of scientific sobriety, to fulfill its requirements for foreign certificates and to enable their owners after fulfilling those requirements for scientific and professional participation in providing various specialized services. His Excellency highlighted that the Iraqi universities and Iraqi students deal with the recognized Ukrainian universities, and the relevant Directorates in the Ministry will deal with observations in this issue to provide a suitable scientific cooperation environment for both sides and achieve the desired benefit from communication and understanding between Iraqi institutions and their Ukrainian counterparts. For his part, Mr. Nidobas expressed the Ukrainian side's readiness on strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of higher education and scientific research and encouraging joint researches and cultural exchange. It is worth mentioning that the meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher.
