His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa reviewed with the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Fatih Yildiz enhancing academic cooperation.
Dr. Al-Esa said that the Ministry is working on developing the cultural and scientific cooperation with the advanced countries to benefit their academic experiences via activating memorandums of understanding between Iraqi universities and research centers and their Turkish counterparts.
His Excellency added that there are a number of fields to promote academic cooperation such as granting Turkish fellowships to Iraqi scholars and organizing joint scientific conferences between Iraqi and Turkish universities.
For his part, Mr. Yildiz expressed his country's readiness to develop academic cooperation between the two countries’ universities, increase Turkish fellowships to Iraq and inaugurate Turkish Language Center in University of Baghdad.
