During inking a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for scientific cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research between Iraq and Jordan, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib said that the MOU aimed at encouraging higher education institutions on both sides to establish mutual relations, direct cooperation, exchange of visits among the faculty members and participation in scientific research, holding conferences, symposiums and lectures on topics of common interest and exchanging books, publications, pamphlets and researches in various scientific, literary and artistic fields. Abid Al-Sahib added that the two sides agreed on exchanging of thirty academic seats in specializations and stages of study agreed upon by the two sides, sobering of higher education institutions on both sides and exchanging of experiences between the universities of the two countries in the field of technical education, technical studies, accreditation and academic quality. It is worth mentioning that the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of the Iraqi Prime Ministers of the two countries, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kadhumi and Dr. Beshr Al-Khasawneh.
