College of Agriculture, University of Misan delivered a lecture on purification and staining of bacteria by Mr. Shabib Munshad Jassim. The lecture reviewed how to employ the technique of purifying bacteria of different types of (E. coli) and (Staphylococcus Aureus) bacteria that were previously isolated in the laboratory experiment via taking one of the types of bacteria colonies and staining them in a simple staining and Gram's method staining), as well as highlighting laboratory products. The lecture demonstrated the methods of proper isolation and purification of bacteria types and how to stain via using various dyes from (Crystal violet, Safranin, Iodine) and others to be viewed later under an electron microscope and to study the morphological characteristics and features of their characteristics, shape and type (-G +, G).
