In cooperation with the College of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Center of Remote Sensing, University of Mosul held a symposium on the strategic dimension of oil reservoirs in Nineveh Governorate. The symposium reviewed a comprehensive presentation of studies that examined the oil reality in Nineveh Governorate, future oil ambitions, the most important surveys and geophysical methods and their role in determining subsurface structures. The symposium also reviewed the modern used methods and techniques in remote sensing and their potential in identifying the indications of hydrocarbon and subsurface structures.
