Southern Technical University inaugurated Pollution and Environmental Research Center in the Technical College of Engineering in Basrah, University President, Dr. Rabih Hashim Al-Abbasi said. Dr. Al-Abbasi added that the Center is an important step in the way of developing the University’s scientific level, as the Center contains specialized laboratories, research rooms, meeting rooms and a wing for managing the center. Dr. Al-Abbasi continued by saying that the center is working on preparing research that serves the fields of environment and pollution and provides advisory and technical services to researchers and postgraduate students, as well as to government institutions specialized in this field.
