College of Administration and Economics, University of Tikrit organized a symposium on the extent of the Iraqi banking sector's ability to use banking technologies in financial transactions. The symposium aimed at encouraging the banking sector to keep pace with modern banking developments, expanding banking activities via financial inclusion and focusing on developing the Iraqi economy via increasing savings and encouraging investment. The symposium reviewed three axes on modern technologies in banking, electronic financial transactions and the digital identity and financial inclusion. The symposium recommended the necessity of adopting the concepts of modern technologies in the field of banking, developing the electronic banking infrastructure and expanding the banking base via financial inclusion, as well as emphasizing the public Institutions to deal electronically in financial transactions.
