A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Basic Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah on the effect of manoprotein extracted from Saccharomyces cerevisiae on some pathogenic bacteria by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ali Yahya Aboud. The dissertation aimed at purifying and characterizing the manoprotein from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, as well as reviewing its effect on some pathogenic bacteria. The dissertation highlighted the mechanisms of using manoprotein in the manufacturing of nanoparticles to achieve a synergistic effect in its inhibitory effect against pathogenic bacteria and the possibility of using manoprotein in the industries that require different temperature and pH. The dissertation recommended the need to experiment with the inhibitory effect of manoprotein on laboratory animals in vivo and to experiment with the use of manoprotein in the manufacturing processes of antiseptic soap because of its emulsifying and inhibitory efficacy of microorganisms.
