Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah held a workshop on using solar energy as an alternative to fuel. The workshop reviewed how solar energy can be invested in many applications. The workshop highlighted the benefits and uses of solar energy in a variety of fields, such as water heating and distillation of salt water to make it drinkable, as well as energy uses in the cooking process and the process of generating electricity. The workshop demonstrated the importance of using solar energy as an alternative to fuel because of its positive impact on the environment, as it is considered one of the most environmentally friendly renewable energy sources.
