College of Science, University of Diyala held an online symposium on the deposition environments of oil formations in Iraq by Dr. Salah Ali Hussein and Dr. Abed Al-Ridha Muhammad Sahab. The online symposium reviewed sedimentary environments, their divisions and how sediments are deposited within each of them, as well as the sedimentary changes that accompany the change in the places of the environments as a result of the fluctuation of the sea level. The online symposium highlighted the geological formation of petroleum, its geological reconstruction and places of its deposition in relation to the environmental divisions.
