A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Education for Anthropology, University of Diyala on the Convention on Biological Diversity and its role in promoting ecosystems in Iraq by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Dina Haidar Tamir. The dissertation aimed at analyzing the content of the Convention on Biological Diversity in order to benefit from it to the maximum extent possible in promoting biological diversity in general and ecosystems in particular. The dissertation reviewed several conclusions, the most prominent of which is that the threats to biological diversity are caused directly by negative interventions such as leveling green areas and overfishing and some indirectly, such as climate change and desertification.
