During a meeting with the Iraqi Ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi with the presence of the Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Hazem Baqer Taher, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib said that the cooperation agreement with the Republic of Egypt in the field of higher education had entered into force. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that fifty Iraqi scholars will soon be enrolled in the study at the Egyptian universities in pre- and postgraduate studies within the granted scholarship program to Iraq in light of the executive agreement for cultural cooperation in the field of higher education between the two countries for the academic years (2020-2023). It is worth mentioning that the two sides stressed on the importance of continuous communication, coordination and cooperation with the Egyptian side and following up on the affairs of Iraqi scholars in the Egyptian universities, as well as reviewing the file of recognition of the universities of the two countries and the importance of developing and completing the Iraqi cultural attaché project in Cairo.
