During a visit to Middle Technical University and meeting its Council, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib urged on joint scientific researches and enhancing publication in international journals. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib reviewed the need for universities to take their role and independency in decision-making, starting from the scientific Department and passing through the College or Institute Council and ending with the University Council. His Excellency highlighted that the Ministry faced a stage that is not easy and dealt positively with the input of the universities that admitted more than two hundred and twenty thousand in the central admission compared with the previous capacity that was one hundred and seven thousand students. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib confirmed on understanding the variables and the orientation towards success in light of the available capabilities and continuing cooperation to overcome psychological conditions and spread the authority of respect. His Excellency stressed on the need to develop a roadmap to meet the requirements of the labor market, diagnose the stage horizon and requirements, create scientific departments, update their knowledge curricula, pay attention to the infrastructure of universities and complete administrative automation to reduce the effort expended at work. For his part, President of the University, Dr. Abdul Mohsen Naji Al-Muhaisin welcomed the Minister's visit and His Excellency keenness on following up the universities and their colleges and enabling academic institutions to formulate scientific and administrative decisions inspired by the philosophy of educational services and the professional specializations that they undertake.
