During heading the 1st Summit of the Islamic Cooperation Organization on sciences and technology in Astana, Kazakhstan, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa said that the scientific and technological necessity required planning to adopt sustainable development which will be achieved via communicating with all modern scientific developments in order to develop the scientific and technological fields.
Dr. Al-Esa reviewed the importance of enhancing the cooperation relation in all scientific and technical fields and His Excellency called on standing against implementing technology in war, negative activities and against community which will undermine the social and cultural structure of our community.
His Excellency added that the agreements and relations should be based on the common factors to the benefit of the two sides in term of mutual needs.
His Excellency said that the basis of the relations of States in the field of cooperation is based on the criteria of scientific progress and mutual scientific benefit and Dr. Al-Esa continued by saying without the scientific progress the relation will be troubled and will be as a subordinate relation as well as the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation must keep pace with the latest developments in scientific and technological fields as the base of success.
It is worth mentioning that the summit was attended by presidents and representatives of 57 countries and the Iraqi delegation was headed by His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa besides the attendance of the Adviser to the MC, Dr. Hamid Khalaf, the Ambassador and the Head of International Organizations and Conferences Department,Ministry of Foreign, Khaleel Al-Mosawi and the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Khalid Al-Khaier.
