Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the number of Iraqi researches from public and private universities and colleges in the international websites were increased to sixty-six thousand seven hundred and twenty-nine scientific researches. Higher Education reviewed that the public universities have achieved of the publication of sixty-three thousand nine hundred and fifty-seven researches and the private universities published two thousand seven hundred seventy-two researches in Scopus International websites until the 3rd of April. His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib said in his message to universities that “This apparent increase in the number of Iraqi published internationally researches strengthened the position of Iraqi universities, their increase has become an indication of the international rankings”. His Excellency stressed on the need to intensify interest on this field to commensurate with the reputation of governmental and private university in Iraq. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib urged on continuing and qualitative advancement in the scientific researches and the expansion of the joint supervision of faculty members in private education with public universities.
