College of Nursing, University of Misan organized a symposium on how to use transitional serum to treat patients with Corona Virus by the faculty member in the College, Mr. Mustafa Adnan Niema. The symposium reviewed the meaning of serum, which is originally considered to be blood plasma without fibrinogen and contains proteins not used in blood clotting, salts, antibodies, antigens, hormones and any foreign substances. The symposium demonstrated the difference between the serum and the vaccine, considering that the serum is an injection of antibodies to the virus for a person, while the vaccine is to give the person a small percentage of the virus in order to activate his immune system. The symposium highlighted that the purpose of the serum is the immediate treatment of patients infected with the Corona Virus, as the serums provide the body with immunity that works to resist diseases via adding antibodies directly to the blood.
